I received some second-hand professional advice the other day:

"Don't ever put a picture of a cat on your webpage. What if somebody doesn't like cats? He might not hire you!"

I just want to say one thing:

If you are the kind of person who would deny me employment because I have a picture of a cat on my webpage and you don't like cats—then you're a cold-blooded individual, and I don't want to work with you.
